
Western Railway (WR) has made extensive arrangements for the safety, convenience and crowd management of the large number of followers arriving at Dadar station on the occasion of Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on December 6, 2025. Almost 700 GRP and RPF personnel’s will be deployed round-the-clock across platforms, bridges, entry–exit gates and railway premises of Dadar station.
The station is under continuous surveillance through 160 CCTV cameras and staff has been deployed to monitor the control room 24x7. In addition to this, security is being strengthened with the help of state-of-the-art video analytics facilities such as FRS (face recognition system), People Density analysis, Left-Over Luggage detection and line-crossing alerts etc.
According to the press release issued by Public Relations Department, Western Railway, Help Desks which will function 24x7 will be set up at Dadar station for assisting the visitors and followers visiting Chaityabhoomi. RPF, GRP and ticket checking staff deployed at these Help Desks will provide visitors with guidance regarding Chaityabhoomi, Rajgruha, train timings and other necessary information. Additionally, continuous anti-sabotage checks will be carried out by the RPF Dog Squad, Quick Response Team and GRP Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) team using modern equipment. To ensure effective crowd management, Western Railway has implemented barricading and rope-based segregation at crowd-prone areas such as BMC FOB and Tilak FOB. Controlled diversions have also been arranged at entry and exit points. Clear directional signage has been installed across all bridges and gates to facilitate smooth movement.
For medical support, 24x7 facilities including doctors, first aid and ambulance services has been arranged at Dadar station. Lighting across WR’s Dadar station premises has been reinforced and additional lights have been installed in low-illumination areas to ensure proper visibility.
