More than 11,000 students of Mumbai University have yet to link their ABC or APAAR ID with the university’s portal, putting their eligibility to appear for upcoming examinations at risk.
The university has made a valid ABC/APAAR ID mandatory for students appearing for its examinations, in line with the National Education Policy 2020. The ID is used to digitally store, transfer and verify students’ academic credits.
According to the university, students who have not created a valid ID or failed to link it to the university portal will not be issued hall tickets. This could prevent them from appearing for their examinations.
The university has already shared the list of students with the concerned colleges and institutions and asked them to ensure that the pending linking process is completed immediately.
Mumbai University has also urged students not to wait until the last moment and complete the process as soon as possible to avoid problems during their examinations.
