BCCI CoA to hold a meeting with state cricket bodies on September 25 in Mumbai

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) legal team will present the report to a two-member team consisting of Vinod Rai and Diana Edulji. The report will state the progress of the state cricket boards.

The Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators for Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced that they will hold a meeting with state cricket bodies. The meeting will be held to keep a track of the changes that have been noticed after the implementation of BCCI's new constitution.

Alongside, the cricket board's legal team will present a complete report of the same and hand it over to a two-member team of Diana Edulji and Vinod Rai. The state boards were supposed to submit the compliance reports by September 20. However, now CoA will make a complete analysis of the amendments through the meeting on September 25.

Earlier on August 9, the Supreme Court accepted some of the major recommendations put up by the Justice Lodha panel regarding the reforms in cricket administration in the country with some modifications. Accordingly, the court approved BCCI's new constitution and was asked to get the constitution registered within four weeks with the Tamil Nadu Registrar of Societies and ask its members to comply for the same in 30 days.

Accordingly, the board had registered the constitution successfully on August 21 and had asked the respective state boards to comply for the same by September 20.
