After Mumbai Indians' Alzarri Joseph was injured during his third Indian Premier League (IPL) match, the franchise has named South African pacer, Beuran Hendricks as a replacement for the remainder of the IPL 2019.
Joseph was picked as a replacement for the New Zealand pacer Adam Milne. Later, he went on to make a dream debut as he picked a record-breaking six wickets in his maiden match. But he was injured on April 13, while trying to prevent the ball from reaching the boundary, in a match against Rajasthan Royals.
Hendricks has been named as a replacement and will be signing up with his second IPL frachise, having represented Kings XI Punjab in the past. The left-armer has played two One-Day Internationals and 10 T20Is for South Africa.
Mumbai Indians will now lock horns with Chennai Super Kings in their next encounter at Chennai on 26 April.
