Probability Sports India Pvt. Ltd., a consortium of IIFL Group as Lead Member and Wizcraft, is organising the T20 Mumbai League, a Mumbai-based Twenty20 Cricket League conducted with the approval and sanction of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) and under its aegis.
The much-awaited T20 Mumbai League will have six teams participating in the first season, which is scheduled to take place between March 11 and 21, 2018. Probability Sports India Pvt. Ltd. invites bids from interested parties for awarding six (6) teams to enroll and participate in the T20 Mumbai League.
Kadar Makani, CEO, Probability Sports said, "We are extremely confident that this league will provide immense entertainment to cricket fans in Mumbai. This 11-day league with a spree of exciting matches will be the definitive platform for budding cricket talent and aspiring cricketers from Mumbai."
Bids are invited from prospective Team Owners in respect of the following Teams – Mumbai North (Malad, Kandivali, Borivali and Dahisar), Mumbai North-West (Andheri, Versova, Jogeshwari and Goregaon), Mumbai North East (Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund), Mumbai North-Central (Kurla, Bandra, Santacruz and Vile Parle), Mumbai South-Central (Wadala, Dadar, Mahim, Sion and Chembur) and Mumbai-South (Colaba, Byculla, Malabar Hill and Worli).
When placing bids, bidders may bid for the right to operate up to three different Teams and the bidder’s highest successful bid, if any, will be accepted, permitting the successful bidder to operate one Team in the League. Under and subject to the Invitation to Bid (ITB), winning bidders shall each be enrolled and awarded the right to operate a team participating in the League.
The ITB and other bid related documents shall be made available at Mumbai Cricket Association: 3rd Floor, Cricket Centre, Wankhede Stadium, “D” Road, Churchgate, Mumbai 400020 on 15th, 16th and 17th February 2018 between 10 am and 6 pm on payment of an ITB purchase fee of INR 1,00,000 (Indian Rupees One Lakh only) by way of a demand draft/pay-order in favour of “Probability Sports India Pvt. Ltd” payable at Mumbai (scheduled banks only). It is clarified that the ITB purchase fee shall be non-refundable for unsuccessful bidders and shall be adjustable against the participation fee that shall be payable by winning bidders.
All bidding parties will need to fulfill the eligibility criteria and other requirements specified in the ITB. Further details on the format and structure of the League and the rights and obligations of winning bidders can be obtained from the ITB.
The Bid Documents must be submitted by hand delivery at the office of “Mumbai Cricket Association” situated at 3rd Floor, Cricket Centre, Wankhede Stadium, “D” Road, Churchgate, Mumbai 400020 in the manner set out in the ITB, latest before 6 pm, Tuesday, on 20th February 2018.
