Even after giving a tough fight since the beginning, Mumbai Indian's (MI) had to face another defeat as it failed to chase a target set off by the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

After winning the toss, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma chose to field against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). At the end of 20 years, LSG set a target 169 to chase for the Paltan in Match 37 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai today, April 24.

However, despite continuing to lose wickets in regular, in a fortunate one for LSG, KL Rahul's century helped the team to post a total of 168/6 against MI. With this, KL Rahul scored his second century of the season and slammed an unbeaten 103 off just 62 balls.

Whereas chasing 169, MI lost four quick wickets - Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, Dewald Brevis and Ishan Kishan, after a solid opening stand of 49 runs. Meanwhile, Kieron Pollard and Riley Meredith took two wickets each.

In its previous match, MI were beaten by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a thriller, which took their tally to seven defeats this season.
