In the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Thursday, April 21, MI put 155 at the loss of seven wickets on the board.

CSK won the toss and decided to bowl first. With quick wickets falling for the CSK, it was a classic MS Dhoni finish that took the game away from MI.

The ex-Indian captain managed to chase the score by securing 28 runs in 13 balls. In the post match conference too, MI captain acknowledged Dhoni's performance, by saying, "In the end you know how cool MS Dhoni can be and he took them home."

From the CSK team, Raydu's 50 set the tone for the team too.

On the flip side, the top batter from the MI lineup was Tilak Varma who was not out for 51 runs from 43 balls. On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav put a 21 run haul in 32 balls.

For the CSK it was Mukesh Choudhary who took three wickets for 19 runs, and Dwayne Bravo took two. Choudhary rattled MI's top order by removing MI captain Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan for a duck in the same over. This caused MI to be 23/3 in the first three overs themselves.

In the midst of consistent wickets falling for the MI camp, it was the youngster Varma's half-century who showed the way to his team. His effort was complimented by bowler D. Sams who had noteworthy figures of 4 wickets in 4 overs while giving away 30 runs.

However, these performances were not enough for MI to secure a win. MI, reportedly is the first team to lose seven matches in a row.
