Rohit Sharma makes a climb in ICC T20 rankings

Prior to the T20 series against West Indies, Mumbai batsman Rohit Sharma was ranked 10th. However, his blistering performance has helped him climb the rankings and he is currently ranked seventh in the ICC T20 rankings

After a thumping 3-0 victory in the recently held T20 series against West Indies, Indian stand-in captain Rohit Sharma along with bowler Kuldeep Yadav have gained big in the ICC T20 ranking. Displaying his captaincy skills once again, Rohit Sharma & Co. once again ensured an easy series victory for India after the Indian team won a last-ball thriller in Chennai. 

Kuldeep Yadav was rested from the match in Chennai but prior to that, the chinaman had picked up five wickets in the previous two matches at an economy rate of 5.6 runs per over. As a result, the bowler jumped up 14 places and is currently, ranked at number 23 in the rankings, his personal best.

Meanwhile, Mumbai lad Rohit Sharma struck a memorable century in the second T20 in Lucknow, which earned him the Player of the Match award. After which, the 31-year-old climbed up to the seventh position from 10th in the ICC rankings.

On the other hand, Team India are now second in the rankings with 127 points, after their thumping series win over West Indies. The Men in Blue are just 11 points behind Pakistan who top the chart with 138 points.
