After serving an eight-month suspension for violating Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s anti-doping code, Mumbai youngster Prithvi Shaw will soon be donning Mumbai jersey once again. Shaw has been included in the 15-member Mumbai squad for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. However, the young prodigy will be eligible to play from November 17.

He will be free to play from November 16, so of course, he will be considered for selection. I can't make any commitment to whether he will be back, but we will certainly discuss his selection," Rege had previously told ESPNcricinfo.

It is believed that Shaw will be making comeback as a Mumbai player for its last league match against Assam at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.

Shaw's journey has had its own share of ups and downs since after a dream start to his Test career against the West Indies, Shaw suffered a career-threatening injury during the tour to Australia in December, last year.

Meanwhile, Shaw who turned 20 on November 9 had assured fans that his 2.0 version would be displayed soon.

“I turn 20 today. I assure it will be Prithvi Shaw 2.0 going forward. Thank u for all the good wishes & support. Will be back in action soon,” he had tweeted on his birthday.

As Shaw returns to Mumbai as a boost to the batting force, the team will be led by Suryakumar Yadav in the remaining matches.

Squad: Suryakumar Yadav (C), Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw, Aditya Tare, Jay Bista, Siddhesh Lad, Shivam Dube, Shubham Ranjane, Sujit Nayak, Shams Mulani, Dhrumil Matkar, Shardul Thakur, Dhawal Kulkarni, Tushar Deshpande and Eknath Kerkar.
