Jammu & Kashmir succumbed to a defeat against Mumbai in a gripping One Day match at K L Saini Stadium, Jaipur. Chasing 241 runs piled up by Mumbai, J & K fell short of the target by three runs after they were only able to score 238 runs at the loss of nine wickets in allotted 50 overs.

Batting first, Mumbai were bundled up for 241 runs in 49.1 overs. Atharva was the top run-getter for Mumbai as he scored 63 runs whereas Chinmay Sutar assisted him with a 44-run knock and helped Mumbai reach 241-10. Jammu & Kashmir's Abid Mushtaq scalped three wickets whereas Imtiyaz Ahmad took two.

In response, J&K were unable to score 241 as they were only able to notch 238 runs in the allotted 50 overs. Nipun Verma was the highest run-getter for J&K with 73 runs while Abhishant Bakshi scored 39 runs. J&K needed 16 runs off the last over but were able to score only 12 runs.

Mumbai bowlers Siddharth Arke and Kruthik Hanagavadi took three and two wickets respectively. On the other hand, left-arm pacer Arjun Tendulkar is yet to perform big as all eyes filled with expectation lay on the youngster.
