29 girls rescued from a dance bar in Andheri

The Mumbai Social Welfare Department of the Mumbai Police rescued 29 bar girls on Sunday in the Andheri area. So far, police have found 18 people working in the bar and arrested them. Meanwhile, the police has also seized around Rs 63,000 from the bar.

The Ram Bhavan Bar on Andheri Panchayat Road is open till late night. There were complaints regarding women in the bar are misbehaving with the customers coming to the area. The information was received by the Social Welfare Department. Accordingly, a special squad of police, under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner of Police Shivdeep Lande, took action against this bar around midnight on Sunday.

In this raids, 29 bar girls were found by the police, while nine of the customers were caught by the police misbehaving with women. Police arrested 18 people including the bar manager, cashiers, waiters and customers. After arrest, they were handed over to Andheri police for further action. Further probe is in progress.
