A 15-year-old boy, who had come to watch Garba with his friends, was electrocuted to death in the Khadakpada area of Kalyan West on Tuesday night.

The accident took place near the Navratri festival organised by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's welfare department president Ulhas Bhoir. The name of the deceased child is Kamlakar Navale (15). He lived with his family in the Khadakpada area. He was studying in class 10th. On Tuesday night, the deceased son Kamlakar along with his friends had come to witness the garba at the Navratri Festival organised by Ulhas Bhoir. Kamalakar started to climb a guarded wall of Rohitra on the side of the event so that he could see the garba dance properly. Friends encouraged him. Without listening to them, Kamlakar climbed the guarded wall with the support of the wall. From there he started watching garba dance. On the side was a web of live power lines from Rohitra.
