In recent times, flashing cases are increasing rapidly in the city. The sad part is these heinous acts are taking place in broad day light and mostly in public places such as trains, platforms and roads.

Considering the increasing cases, Mumbai police became vigilant and nabbed a serial molester Kaplesh Devdhare who flashed to four girls at Powai. He is a serial sex offender who has committed 11 such crimes and has cases registered against him at various police stations such as Vikhroli, Park Site, Pant Nagar, Govandi, D N Nagar Kandivali, Bangurnagar. He has also been booked under IT act for finding an objectionable content on his mobile.

The incident took place on 13 July when four girls were on their way home when they were stopped by a biker near the Galleria mall. The biker who was riding a blue coloured bike started flashing to the 19-year-old complainant and her other three friends. The scared girls dialed 100 to complain about the same but got a mild response. Meanwhile, the man ran away. Girls then told the ordeal to a local police officer who was patrolling in the area. He seemed unperturbed by the incident told girls to go home.

Later, when this incident went viral, Mumbai police sent woman constables at the victim’s residence to register a complaint.
