Actress files a rape complaint against famous industrialist Sajjan Jindal

A rape complaint has been filed against JSW Group Managing Director Sajjan Jindal at BKC Police Station. The victim who filed the complaint is an actress and the said crime took place in January 2022 in the penthouse of the company in Bandra-Kurla complex, the complaint said. The victim tried to file a complaint the same year, but the BKC police station did not register her complaint. So the said victim had to go to court. A complaint has now been filed after the direction of the court.


The victim further stated in her complaint that she and Jindal met for the first time in October 2021 in Dubai. While going to watch an IPL match, the two met in the VIP box of the ground. They then met for the second time in Jaipur at MP Praful Patel's son's wedding. The victim actress said that Jindal tried to get intimate and then forced her. The news site Hindustan Times has reported about this. 


“After we first met in Mumbai, we exchanged mobile numbers. He wanted to buy a property in Dubai from my brother. My brother works as a real estate consultant in Dubai. He used to call me 'babe' and 'baby' in messages and on the phone. When we used to meet privately, he used to tell me about the problems in his married life", the victim also said in the complaint. Also he would hug and flirt with me during every visit, making me feel awkward.”


"He would try to get close to me and say he wanted physical intimacy," the victim said in the complaint, also claiming that Jindal was romantically involved with me while talking through messages despite being married. But I was avoiding him saying that all this can happen only after marriage” In January 2022, the actress went to meet Jindal at his company's penthouse in BKC. The victim has accused that Jindal forced her despite her strong opposition.

The victim further said that after the incident in January, I had maintained friendly relations with him. But they stopped talking to me. After that they also blocked my mobile number from June 2022. He threatened me that if I go to the police and file a complaint, I will have to face serious consequences. In February 2023, I filed a written complaint at BKC police station. But as the police did not take notice of him, the victim decided to approach the court. The court then ordered the BKC police station to register the said complaint.


According to the BKC police, on the complaint of the victim actress, sections 376 (rape), 354 (assault and use of criminal force on a woman and defamation of a woman) and section 506 (criminal intimidation) have been registered against the accused. Further investigation is underway.
