On the darker side of the news spectrum, another aspiring actor from Bihar, Akshat Utkarsh, committed suicide by hanging himself in his rented apartment in Mumbai’s Andheri area on Sunday night.
The 26-year-old was allegedly depressed due to lack of work. However, his family has dispelled the narrative claiming foul play in the death case. Moreover, his body was taken to his native Muzaffarpur by his family on Tuesday. They have alleged police negligence.
Originally from Sikandarpur in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, Akshat was working in the film industry in Mumbai. As per reports, he was a budding actor in Bollywood, doing medium and small-sized roles in Hindi films and programs. The motive for his suicide is yet to be ascertained as the police are investigating the matter.
The late actor's relative Ranjit has informed that Akshat had spoken to his father at 9 pm on Sunday. Moreover, his uncle has accused the Mumbai Police of not cooperating. However, as per the statement of his roommate, Akshat was behaving as usual on Sunday evening as they spoke about several things and then had dinner together before going to sleep.
Even though no suicide note was found at the spot, a preliminary investigation has revealed that the deceased was struggling to find work in the film industry and was forced to borrow money from friends in order to survive in Mumbai.
