Akshay Shinde, who is arrested in the case of sexual abuse of children in Badlapur, has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. The police custody of the accused was over on Monday. Therefore, when the accused was produced in the Ulhasnagar court, the judge remanded the accused to judicial custody. Some more sections have been included in the crime after the demand of the lawyers. Also, the lawyers demanded that the plaintiff's supplementary statement should be taken. The plaintiff's lawyers have informed that among the accused who are now wanted in this case, the president, secretary and principal of the school are absconding.
A case was registered in Badlapur East Police Station late at night on August 16. After that, the police arrested the accused Akshay Shinde. After the police custody of the accused was over on Monday, he was produced in the Ulhasnagar court.
Ban on family interviews
Meanwhile, some audiovisual media reporting the case are trying to create confusion by asking unnecessary questions about the accused's mentality while interviewing the family members of the accused. Therefore, the accused will get a chance to get exemption from punishment. Advocate Priyesh Jadhav has also informed that such interviews have been demanded to be stopped.
Director is absconding
Also, school administrators and principals who have neglected these cases have also been included as co-accused. Adv Jadhav has also said that the president, secretary and headmistress of the school are absconding. For the past few days, school presidents and other executive members have been seen not attending any meeting of the Special Investigation Committee, National Child Rights Commission and administrators appointed by the state government.
