Actor Armaan Kohli sent to judicial custody till June 26

The Metropolitan Magistrate sent actor Armaan Kohli to judicial custody till June 26, 2018, on Wednesday after rejecting his bail plea. He has been accused of beating up his girlfriend Neeru Randhawa.

Kohli’s lawyer said in the court that Neeru admitted of filing a complaint against him under pressure.


Public prosecutor opposed the bail

The public prosecutor opposed Armaan Kohli's bail plea mentioning that the actor is violent and can assault his girlfriend, again. He added that the police should take Kohli’s custody and properly investigate the case.

On Tuesday, Santacruz police arrested Bollywood actor Armaan Kohli in Lonavla who had been evading the arrest. The arrest was made following the police complaint filed by his girlfriend (35) on June 4, 2018.

Based on the complaint, police booked Kohli under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and other relevant sections of the IPC. The official added that the actor was absconding since then.

Kohli’s girlfriend was in a relationship with him (46) for the past three years and they used to live together in a flat in Santacruz.
