On Tuesday, Santacruz police arrested Bollywood actor Armaan Kohli for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. The arrest was made following the police complaint filed by his girlfriend (35) on June 4, 2018.
Based on the complaint, police booked Kohli under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and other relevant sections of the IPC. The official added that the actor absconding since then.
Kohli’s girlfriend was in a relationship with him (46) for the past three years and they used to stay together in a flat in Santacruz flat.
According to the complaint, on June 3, both had an argument over some monetary issue at their residence and while arguing, he allegedly pushed his girlfriend, who then fell from the stairs. His girlfriend also alleged that he pulled her hair and banged her head on the floor. She received 15 stitches.
Kohli was seen in several films like “Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani” and made his last big screen appearance in “LOC: Kargil” in 2003. He was also a part of Colors Bigg Boss Season 7.
