Dharavi police on Friday registered a complaint against a two-wheeler showroom director for cheating the buyers of bikes.

As per information, one Shyam Janardan Posture, a resident of Gandhi Nagar on MG Road in Dharavi, lodged a complaint against the showroom owner as he was denied legal papers of his motorcycle even after a year of buying the bike. Posture had bought the Bajaj V-15 motorcycle from A.R. Autowheel by paying cash of Rs 30,000 on March 25, 2016. He had bought this bike on loan from the Capital First. Posture continues to pay an EMI of Rs 2,685 from last one year. Yet, he has not received legal papers of his motorcycle from the showroom owner. The dealer has been avoiding to hand over the documents to Posture on the pretext that Posture will get these documents delivered at home.

Meanwhile, the showroom owner has vacated his showroom and fled from the area. This has created problems for Posture who cannot ride his bike fearing violation of traffic rules in want of documents.

As per preliminary information, the showroom owner has duped more than 50 customers who have been making rounds of this showroom, said other nearby shop owners.
