An FIR has been registered in connection with an abandoned vehicle found with explosive material near Antilia, industrialist Mukesh Ambani's residence in South Mumbai, police said on Friday, February 26.

Intelligence Bureau officials also arrived at the spot to probe the matter further. The FIR has been registered at the Gamdevi Police Station against unidentified persons, a Mumbai Police official said. However, the matter has been handed over to the crime branch for further investigation.

According to the reports, the police team recovered 21 gelatin sticks, each weighing about 125 gm. Police said that the total weight of the explosive is 2.60 kg, which is enough to explode the entire car if gelatin sticks are attached to other explosive components.
