A Special Terrorism and Disruptive Activities Act (TADA) court on Friday found Abu Salem and Mustafa Dossa guilty of criminal conspiracy charges. Along with the two gangsters, Firoz Khan, Karimullah Khan, Taher Merchant were also found guilty of conspiracy charges levelled against them.

According to reports, these blasts were conducted in protest against the demolition of the Babri Masjid on December 6, 1992, in Uttar Pradesh.
We have chronologically arranged events which took place back then which stunned the entire country.

March 12, 1993: 257 people were killed in a series of 13 serial blasts while 713 were injured.

The 12 locations were the Fisherman's Colony in Mahim Causeway, Zaveri Bazaar, Plaza Cinema, Century Bazaar, Katha Bazaar, Hotel Sea Rock, the Air India Building, Hotel Juhu Centaur, Worli and the Passport Office. Grenades were lobbed at Sahar Airport.

Property worth INR 27 Cr was damaged due to the explosions.

April 19, 1993: Actor Sanjay Dutt was arrested for possession of arms and ammunition.

April 26, 1993: Sanjay Dutt has confessed to possessing an AK-56 in special TADA court.

May 3, 1993: Sanjay Dutt gets bail.

November 4, 1993: A charge sheet of 10,000 pages was filed against 189 people involved in the blasts.

November 19, 1993: The case was handed over to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

July 4, 1994: Sanjay Dutt’s bail was cancelled and he was arrested again. He was sent to jail for 18 months.

April 19, 1995: The TADA court hearing commenced and the following two months, charges were pressed against the accused.

October 16, 1995: Sanjay Dutt gets bail from the court.

March 26, 1996: Justice J. N. Patel's transfer

October 2000: 684 testimonies of witnesses

March 2003: Mustafaa Dosa's case was to be dealt with separately

September 2003: The trial ends, the court reserves the judgment

13 June 2006: Gangster Abu Salem was extradited from Portugal and his case was to be dealt with separately.

August 10, 2006: Justice Kode announced the date for the verdict being September 12

September 12, 2006: In the beginning of the verdict, four members of the Memon family were found guilty, while three acquitted. TADA court sentenced 12 accused to death and life imprisonment fro 20

July 2007: TADA court convicted Sanjay Dutt under the Arms Act, for possessing 9 mm pistol and AK-56. The court sentenced him to six years in prison.

August 2, 2007: Court ordered to take Sanjay Dutt into custody again in August 2007. This time he was kept in Yerwada jail, Pune

August 20, 2007: Sanjay Dutt gets bail from the Supreme Court

1 November 2011: Sanjay Dutt with 100 accused in the Supreme Court

August 29, 2012: The Supreme Court upholds the verdict

March 21, 2013: Tiger Memon's brother Yakub sentenced to death and 10 people who were to be hanged were given life imprisonment. Sanjay Dutt gets a five-year sentence. 16 out of 18 convicted for life imprisonment

21 July 2015: The Supreme Court has rejected the petition for reconsideration of Yakub's conviction

July 29, 2015: President Pranab Mukherjee and Governor of Maharashtra reject Yakub's mercy plea

July 30, 2015: Yakub execution in Nagpur Central Jail at 7:30 in the morning

25 February 2016: Sanjay Dutt gets released soon from Yerwada Jail after being given good behavioural certificate

29 May 2017: Special TADA court announces the final ruling date for Abu Salem, Mustafa Dossa and other four.

June 16, 2017: Abu Salem and Mustafa Dossa guilty of criminal conspiracy charges. Along with the two gangsters, Firoz Khan, Karimullah Khan, Taher Merchant were also found guilty of conspiracy charges levelled against them.
