53-year-old college professor Manisha Bhave was found dead at her Andheri residence. Prior to her death, she had spoken to her brother a week ago, said police. She was found lying motionless on the floor in her bedroom at her Andheri flat around 11:30 am. Her decomposed body was then taken to Cooper Hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.
According to Andheri police, Manisha was a History professor at Sathaye college and used to stay alone at Gauresh apartment which is close to the college.
As per the police investigation, the Ruparelia family, which lives next door, did not see Manisha for a few days and also noticed a foul smell coming from her house. They immediately contacted her brother who arrived at Bhave’s home along with the police. They opened the door with a duplicate key and found her lying motionless.
Police ruled the cause of her death as a heart attack as it was locked from inside and things were not moved as well.
