14,883 health workers in Maharashtra given COVID-19 vaccine on January 19

On Tuesday, January 19, a total of 14,883 health workers were given COVID-19 vaccines at 274 centres in Maharashtra. However, serious cases of reaction to the vaccines have not been reported in the state, said Pradeep Vyas, Principal Secretary.

On Tuesday, January 19, a total of 14,883 health workers were given COVID-19 vaccines at 274 centres in Maharashtra. So far, no serious impact or reaction to the vaccines have not been reported in the state, said Pradeep Vyas, Principal Secretary in the State Health Department. In some places, vaccination continued till late evening.

Vaccination began at 9 am and ends till 7 pm. The number of people vaccinated across the state on Tuesday, January 19, is as follows: Akola (181), Amravati (239), Buldhana (359), Washim (212), Yavatmal (289), Aurangabad (335), Hingoli (120), Jalna ( 231), Parbhani (229), Kolhapur (545), Ratnagiri (245), Sangli (432), Sindhudurg (161), Beed (142), Latur (221), Nanded (276), Osmanabad (238), Mumbai ( 595), Mumbai Suburbs (1002), Bhandara (206), Chandrapur (399), Gadchiroli (187), Gondia (144), Nagpur (656), Wardha (386), Ahmednagar (650), Dhule (313), Jalgaon (397), Nandurbar (285), Nashik (710), Pune (1403), Satara (511), Solapur (681), Palghar (319), Thane (1434), Raigad (150).

Along with the national COVID vaccination drive on Saturday, January 16, the state government also started giving vaccines to health workers. Vaccination sessions started in 34 districts and 27 municipal areas in the state with 17,762 vaccinators and 7.85 lakh health workers registered on the Co-win portal. However, vaccination was not held on Sunday, January 17 and Monday, January 18.
