Bollywood is an industry that thrives upon the actors and the audience that consumes the content created by those actors. The audience also consists of a section of "fans" who are obsessed with actors and would do anything to meet or even get a glimpse of them. A similar incident occurred in Mumbai where RPF caught two teenagers who had run away from their home at Uttar Pradesh to meet their favorite actor, Salman Khan.

Ranvir Singh Gatav (15) and Ashish Gatav (16) were fans of actor Salman Khan and liked his films a little too much. Both of them were obsessed with Salman and never missed any of his films. At a point, their obsession exceeded limits and both the boys decided to travel to Mumbai and personally meet Salman. However, both of them lacked resources to travel to Mumbai and in order to gain the resources, they stole their parents’ phones and ₹2,000 before running away from home.

On June 8, both of them left home without informing anyone and boarded a train from Uttar Pradesh and reached Dadar the next day. However, the duo were suspiciously roaming on platform No. 6 and on the other hand, concerned about the children, the family had lodged a missing complaint. When both of them were walking suspiciously on the platform, Vanita Shukla, a female RPF officer saw them and enquired about their whereabouts.

On further investigation, both of them revealed that they had come to meet Salman Khan. After receiving the statements, RPF contacted their families and handed them over to their family.
