The body of a woman was found in a flat in Lalbaug and it is suspected that this woman was murdered. Kalachowki police are investigating further in this matter.
The dead body of a woman aged 50 to 52 years was found wrapped in a plastic bag in a flat in Peru Compound area of Lalbaug. Identified as Veena Prakash Jain, her body was found in a plastic bag in the closet of her residence. The incident was reported to the police late in the night, after which the police seized the body of the woman and sent it to KEM Hospital for post-mortem. Kalachowki police have arrested the daughter for questioning. The police also detained Veena's brother and nephew and are interrogating them.
The body of this woman was found in a decomposed state. Not only this, the woman's body was stabbed with a sharp weapon. It is also believed that her arms, legs and other body parts were cut off. A forensic team was called late at night and the entire flat was inspected and the reason for the murder is still not clear.
