Underworld don Arun Gawli alias ‘Daddy’ was given an overwhelming welcome when returned home after being released from the Nagpur Jail on furlough of 28 days.
The family members of Daddy accorded him a grand traditional welcome at Dagdi Chawl on Friday. Later, he took darshan of a deity in a temple at Dagdi chawl. A large number of his well-wishers and residents of Dagdi Chawl were present on this occasion.
Arun Gawli is undergoing his jail term in the murder case of Shiv Sena corporator Kamlakar Jamsandekar. He had applied for furlough and his application was rejected due to the civic elections in Mumbai. He again sought review of his furlough application which was considered and the court granted him the furlough.
