Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s driver allegedly threatened the family of the girl who has accused the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Nishikant More of sexual assault. 

A video has surfaced on the internet which shows CM Thackeray’s driver allegedly threatening the family members asking them to keep quiet. 

The incident happened outside the Panvel sessions court when the family was waiting for court proceedings in the DIG’s anticipatory bail hearing on Tuesday. 

I am Uddhav Thackeray’s driver, thoda shaant rehne ka,” the man allegedly said.

According to media reports, the girl went missing since Monday night leaving a mysterious ‘suicide note’ behind which read that she is committing suicide due to the pressure from DIG.

After the family was threatened, they registered a complaint against the driver at Taloja police station. According to Times Now, the Chief Minister’s office has taken cognizance of the matter and removed the driver from Chief Minister’s convoy.

Regarding this, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Thursday said that they will take action in this case.
