Drugs worth Rs 2 cr seized in Chembur

Chembur - In a big catch, Anti-Narcotic Branch of the Mumbai Police seized narcotic drugs MD worth Rs 2 crore from a person in Chembur area on Tuesday. The arrested accused is identified as Pravin Waghela from whom this 10 kg drug-cartel was seized. The Anti-Narcotic Branch of the Ghatkopar police received a tip-off about drug cartel to be smuggled in Chheda Nagar locality here. Accordingly, sleuths laid a trap in the said area and searched a Honda Civics car (MH-05/AN-909) and found the 10 kg MD drugs in a bag. The cost of this drugs in the international market is said to be Rs 2.04 crore. Pravin Waghela is a resident of Bandra and police had received a specific information about him. Police are now searching for Waghela's accomplices.
