Another gruesome incident came to light when the Mumbai Police crime branch on Thursday, December 2, arrested the a mother for allegedly killing the child after planning a fake kidnap of her infant.
According to the information received, a complaint was lodged with the Kalachowki police about missing of a three-and-a-half-month-old girl two days ago.
On Tuesday afternoon, November 30, the woman had informed the police that a hawker approached her at her residence, to sell a plastic bucket in exchange for old clothes. Sapna claimed that when she went inside the room to get the old mobile phone, the accused woman snuck up behind her and pressed the chloroformed-laced cloth on her mouth, making her unconscious. The hawker then picked up the baby girl, who was sleeping at the time and fled from the house.
The mother identified as name is Sapna Bajrang Magdoom has an eight-year-old daughter and desperately wanted her second child to be a baby boy.
The incident took place between 12:15 pm and 12:30 pm at Sangharsh Sadan, Ferbunder, Mumbai, where the mother resides with the baby. The woman also shared that she was being mentally harassed by her family members and had acted out of desperation. However, she had reported a fabricated story to the local police.
