Goregaon – State government put a ban on hukka parlours last year. Despite the law, hukka parlour was reconstructed at Sundar Nagar of Goregaon. In 2014, BMC got the complaint of illegal hukka parlour. The owner, however, managed to get a stay. However, the owner started reconstructing the parlour in 2016 6-7 months back.
“BMC commissioner has asked to raze illegal construction which goes above 14 feet. Still, P/South ward’s assistant commissioner Santosh Kumar Dhonde ignored the order as no one is bothered about this parlour. There are schools and colleges around the parlour which are not good for students,” said Sachin Chavhan, resident.
Meanwhile, Dhonde told Mumbai Live that they will take action against the authorities concerned.
