Darshan Solanki suicide case: Handwriting matches with the note, reports handwriting expert

The note found in the room of IIT Bombay student Darshan Solanki after his suicide was written by him, reveals a report by a handwriting expert. As per the sources, the report was submitted to the Crime Branch on Friday. So far, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) who is investigating the matter has recorded the statements of two students including a student whose name was mentioned in the note by Darshan before he ended his life. 


The report makes it evident that the note found in Solanki's room was written by him. The Signature Analysis Cell of the Crime Investigation Department has submitted a report in this regard to the Crime Branch. A student's name was mentioned in this note. A case was registered in Powai police station in this regard.


The special investigation team investigating the matter interrogated the student whose name was mentioned in the note. Solanki committed suicide on February 12. The student told the inquiry that Solanki apologised to him on February 10 before that. But the student has not given the information about what the argument between the two was. Meanwhile, as the said student is not giving information during the investigation, the sources said that they are also thinking about conducting a lie detector test on him.


The Special Investigation Team also recorded the statement of a person named Uday Singh Meena. Darshan had told Meena about a student who stopped talking to him after the student came to about his caste. Mina said that he tried coaxing him and told him that if one friend is not talking, then he should let him go and should go talk with other friends.
