Since 2023, Mumbai Police has been paying special attention to ensure that citizens are not harmed due to bogus calls, messages, e-mails. Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar told Mumbai Tech Week that INR 24.5 crores have been deposited in the bank accounts of defrauded citizens during the year.


Tech Entrepreneurs Association of Mumbai have organised Mumbai Tech Week, a start-up festival from February 18 to 23 at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC. In this festival, youth who want to start a startup will be provided with guidance and job opportunities in some famous companies. 45 companies like Shaadi.com, Book My Show, Bill Deck, Chalo, Hungama have participated in this Mumbai Tech Week. Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani, Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar, Film Saathi Founder Anupama Chopra and Google India Vice President Sanjay Gupta were also present on the first day to guide the youth participating in this Mumbai Tech Week about technology.

Preference should be given to entrepreneurs in regional languages: Smriti Irani

If a regional language option is made available in new startups, it will reach many people of the country at the earliest. Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani expressed the opinion that language serves to connect people, so regional languages of India should be given priority by every entrepreneur while starting a start-up, in an online session at Mumbai Tech Week. As India aims to reach $10 trillion by 2030 and $35 trillion by 2047, young entrepreneurs should focus on areas such as artificial intelligence, logistics, health and education. India's G-20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant expressed the opinion that only then the country will come before the world as a superpower.
