Malwani- Madh resident Dinesh Kumar was kidnapped by a few unknown men on 8th January. During the investigation, Malwani police got to know that, Dinesh Kumar’s brother in law owed Rs. 3 lakhs to a party and he was unable to repay it. Because of which, accused abducted Dinesh and asked for a ransom.
Accused Shaukat Sheikh along with his two other accomplices planned to abduct Dinesh to recover the losses. After abducting Dinesh, Shaukat called his wife and asked for Rs. 1, 50,000. His wife brought the money and went to police station to register a complaint against the abductors. Following the complaint, Malwani police laid the trap and rescued Dinesh on 23rd January from Behram Baug. Malwani police arrested the accused and presented in the court. They will be kept in police custody till 27th January.
