The King of good times, Vijay Mallya released a public statement in which he said that he has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, assuring that he will pay off all the debts he owes the banks.

The declaration came after the unrelenting efforts from the Indian government which tired the liquor baron and after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a case in a special court under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and sought to declare Mallya as a ‘fugitive economic offender’.

Mallya has been trying to escape the government since March 2016 after being a willful debtor and currently is in London, UK. He is liable to pay ₹9,000 crore to several Indian banks.
