Mumbai - The legal metrology department has initiated action against movie theaters and hotels for differentiation in prices on similar packages. The consumers from the state had registered their complaints with the National Consumers’ Commission in Delhi. In accordance with that, Amitabh Gupta, special inspector general of police and legal metrology, carried out inspections at 345 movie theaters in the state. Cases were filed against 134 establishments for violations of different rules. The prominent companies among them include Hindustan Coca-Cola, Pepsico India, Redbull India, Eureka Forbs, Agro Foods etc.
