UP ATS arrests LeT operative at Mumbai airport

The Uttar Pradesh Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba operative Salim Khan, wanted for spying and unlawful activities. 

He was picked up from Mumbai airport on Monday afternoon following a tip off. Salim Khan who belongs to Hathgaon village of Fatehpur district used to transfer money to terror outfits in the country, police claim. It is also being said that Khan had visited Pakistan's terror camps. The UP ATS had Khan on its wanted list since 2008 and had also issued a lookout Notice for Khan. 

Another alleged ISI operative Aftab Ali has also been arrested in connection with the same case in May this year, from Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. The latter used to transfer money to carry out terror activities, say police. Likewise, LeT operative Kausar and Sharif, who were arrested in connection with 2008 Rampur CRPF attack, had confessed that in 2007, that Salim Khan was with them at Muzaffarabad when they were given training sessions.
