A few days ago, the main accused in the Malegaon Blast case, Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Shrikant Purohit, had appealed to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to provide him with the photos and videos of the blast. Recently, the court agreed to meet Purohit’s demands. Accordingly, a copy of the video and photo of Malegaon blast will be given to the accused.
The demand was made by Purohit as he wanted to prepare for the charges against him in the Malegaon blast case and in order to prove his innocence, he has asked the court to provide evidence against him.

While the investigating team strongly opposed the demand, special judge V.S. Padalkar ordered the Registrar to provide Purohit with a copy of the photos and videos.
The next hearing for the case has been scheduled for November 21. In the 2008 Malegaon blast case, charges were filed against Purohit, Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur along with five others.
