Malad police have busted the Keeda gang which was active on the Marve route in BEST bus. Malad police have detained a member of the Keeda gang and police is now trying to trace the other members of the gang.
According to police, the Keeda gang was active in the BEST buses running on the Malwani route. The gang members used to target passengers carrying bag. At the first, the gang members try to make out whether is there any valuables in the bag, when they came to know that there was anything of their interest then they would slowly put (worm) keeda to distract the passengers. When the passenger gets distracted the gang slowly stole the bag and got down at the next signal.
The incident came to light after Malad police received a complaint of the Keeda gang and after investigation police arrested an accused Afzal Shaikh from Malad and police is also trying to know the rest of the members of the name of Keeda gang.
