In an incident which occurred on June 11, 2020, a three-year-old boy from Ghatkopar's Pant Nagar fell into the nullah. As per reports, the incident happened as the boy lost his balance. The search operations began after his friends passed the information to his family who then informed the municipal corporation. BMC officials along with the NDRF are currently conducting the search operation.
The boy is a resident of the Savitribai Phule Nagar in Ghatkopar's area. The incident was reported on Thursday afternoon, where informed the family informed the police. Rescue teams, fire brigade and police officials reached the incident spot to investigate the matter.
However, the search operation was initially hampered due to the excessive amount of water and mud in the Nullah. Understanding this, officials sought help from the NDRF and the Navy, after which search operation resumed.
