A case of a husband brutally killing his wife has taken place in Ambernath as she was unable to have a child even after 12 years of marriage despite taking various medicines. This incident has come to light in the residential colony of Ayudh Nirman Sanstha in the west of Ambernath and the police have arrested the accused husband.


Ronitraj Mandal (37) was staying with his wife Neetu Kumari Mandal (30) in front of the playground of Ordnance Manufacturing Institute of Ambernath. Originally from Bihar, these two got married in 2011. In 2016, Ronitraj started working as an attache in the Ordnance Manufacturing Organization. The couple was living in the labour colony H 38 in the Ayudha Nirman Sansthan. After 12 years of their marriage, Neetu Kumari started treatment as they were childless. But Ronitraj doubted her character and always argued with her for this reason.

On Sunday afternoon, after drinking, Ronitraj had another argument with his wife while he was eating. During this argument, he killed his wife by hitting her on the head with a heavy object. Later in the evening, he called the neighbours and faked that someone had killed his wife. As soon as the police got information about this incident, the police rushed to the spot and started an investigation. But as the police suspected what Ronitraj was saying, they detained him and started the investigation. 


The police have registered a case of murder in this case and the police have informed that the husband of deceased Neetu Kumari, Ronitraj, has been arrested as a suspect.
