MMRDA's action against illegal occupation

People have been illegal occupying certain flats in the Subham Co-operative housing society in MHADA building in Wadala East. 

Flat no 702 of transit camp was illegally occupied from past few years. When the tenants came to know about the inspection, they locked the room and escaped to avoid any actions on them.

MMRDA officials broke the lock and sealed the premises. Likewise rooms no 606, 607, 608 were also sealed in during this drive.

MMRDA along with Wadala police initiated this action on the illegally occupation on 9 March in the presence of the MMRDA controller Madhukar Savatkar. It is said still many people stay illegally in that building.

MMRDA made their transit camp in Wadala’s MHADA colony 20 years ago. Agents have been exploiting lax rules to rent out vacant flats to illegal tenants. But this time MMRDA seems to be nailing these agents and those who have illegally possessed these flats.
