An accused who pelted stones at AC local train and express train was arrested by the Kurla Railway Police. A young woman was injured and the windows of an express were broken in the stone pelting by this accused at the local on Thursday. The name of the injured girl is Vaishnavi Salvi (20) and she was going towards Thane from Ghatkopar on Thursday morning.


Around 7.30 am, the train reached Nahur railway station area. At the same time, the stone thrown by the accused hit Vaishnavi’s nose who was standing in the women's compartment. This caused a serious injury to her nose.

After the girl filed a complaint in the Kurla Lohmarg police station, the police registered a case. After some time, stones were pelted on the Latur Express in a similar manner. Fortunately, no one was injured. But the glass of one of the windows of the express was broken. Kurla Lohmarg Police immediately took serious note of both the incidents and started searching for the accused. Police received information that Mohan Kadam (45), who lives on the footpath in Vikhroli, pelted stones at the local and express. Accordingly, the police arrested the accused.
