A 19-year-old girl was shot dead in Mumbai’s Govandi area, allegedly over a love affair, prompting the arrest of four individuals. The accused were produced before a local court and remanded in police custody for further investigation.
The incident took place in the Shivaji Nagar locality. According to police, the victim was shot at close range and later declared dead at a hospital.
Investigators believe the murder may have stemmed from a romantic dispute. Preliminary findings suggest there was tension involving the victim and one of the accused over a relationship, which may have led to the fatal attack.
Police have arrested four people in connection with the case. They are now probing the sequence of events, the role of each accused, and the source of the firearm used in the crime. A case of murder has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
