A woman left a bag containing jewellery worth three and a half lakh rupees in a taxi in Malabar Hill. As soon as the Malabar Hill Police got information about this, they searched for the taxi driver within an hour and recovered the bag from the taxi.


Rupa Zaveri was going to Sikka Nagar by taxi from Malabar Hill on Monday evening. At that time he had a bag of gold jewellery. After landing at Sikkanagar, she forgot the jewellery bang in the cab. After getting down from the taxi, she realised that she forgot the bag in the taxi. There were gold ornaments worth three and a half lakh rupees in total like bangles, earrings. As soon as she realised this, she got scared. She tried to find a taxi in the Malabar Hill area. But she didn't see the taxi they were travelling in. Finally, she reported the incident to the nearby Malabar Hill Police Station.

Accordingly, Senior Police Inspector of Malabar Hill Police Station, Uday Singh Shingade, immediately called the cyber team of the police station and asked them to investigate the matter with the help of technology. Accordingly, cyber team officer Sagar Shinde and Thane police sub-inspector Andhale and Dharwadkar investigated with the help of technology and got the number of the taxi. The original owner of the taxi was contacted through that number. He then immediately called his driver and informed him about the bag he had left behind in the taxi.


The taxi driver immediately returned the woman's bag. Due to the promptness shown by the police, the woman got her bag within an hour.
