Nawazu Karim Shaikh (40) was arrested by the police for sexually assaulting a 20-year-old student in a Panvel-bound local train between CST and Masjid stations on Wednesday morning. Now more shocking information has come to light in this case.
Nawazu also abused five other women. FPJ disclosed his actions through CCTV footage where it was seen that he was trying to touch women. Even more shocking is that no one on the platform bothered to stop this pervert.
When the 20-year-old boarded the women's compartment of the Harbour Line train at 7:26 am, Karim followed her into the train. He then allegedly tried to rape her. But the girl resisted, by the time the train had reached Masjid station, where she jumped, climbed onto the platform and into the general compartment. Karim also got down at Masjid station and ran away.
Karim abused five more women
On further examination of the CCTV footage, it was revealed that an inebriated Karim had misbehaved with five other women. Surprisingly, none of the passengers reported any embarrassing incident to the security personnel.
In one instance, he is seen deliberately elbowing a woman at CSMT. He is then seen walking sideways and purposefully hitting another woman. The accused was also seen deliberately obstructing the path of two other female passengers on the platform, but they too chose not to report the matter and moved on.
