Mumbai Police have busted an alleged high-profile prostitution racket operating from a hotel in Girgaon, rescuing two actresses and arresting a suspected pimp during a raid conducted by the Crime Branch.

According to police, one of the rescued women is a lead actress in the Marathi film industry, while the other has appeared in Bengali films and played cameo roles in Bollywood productions. The identities of the women have not been disclosed.

Police said the accused, who allegedly acted as a pimp, is a make-up artist with links to members of the entertainment industry. He was arrested during the operation after officers, posing as customers, confirmed the alleged illegal activity before carrying out the raid.
