Mumbai Police conducts 'Operation All-Out' at 259 locations across the city

As per reports, the officials had blocked the main roads of Mumbai, conducted foot patrols, raided hotels and neighbourhoods, and tracked down the criminals on record. The operation was held between 11 pm on February 13 to 2 am on February 14, 2021.

In order to maintain law and order in the city, Mumbai Police, in the night on Saturday, February 13, 2021, launched 'Operation All-Out' and conducted combing operations at more than 250 locations across the city. Through this operation, officials were able to take action against 39 absconding accused, and 88 people were arrested under the Narcotics Act, while 37 people were arrested for possessing illegal weapons.

As per reports, the officials had blocked the main roads of Mumbai, conducted foot patrols, raided hotels and neighbourhoods, and tracked down the criminals on record. Additional commissioners of five regional divisions, deputy commissioners of 13 constituencies, divisional assistant commissioners, senior police inspectors and officers of all police stations were involved in the operation which was held between 11 pm on Saturday, February 13 to 2 am on Sunday, February 14, 2021.

Records suggest that during the operation, the police investigated 1278 accused on the record, out of which 599 accused were found. Officials also arrested 39 people from the city who were on the 'wanted' list and arrested the absconding accused. The investigation found 37 deported accused and 176 people on non-bailable warrants.

As part of the crackdown on illegal occupants, officials had to inspect a total of 951 hotels, residential hotels and other establishments; and raided 41 illegal liquor and gambling locations in Mumbai whereby arrested 71 people.

Action was also taken against 135 unauthorized peddlers in the city, and 50 beggars were caught. Preventive measures were taken at 505 sensitive locations in the city, and officials had cordoned off 149 locations.

Besides this, a total of 11,881 two-wheelers and four-wheelers were inspected, out of which action was taken against 3,141 drivers under the Motor Vehicle Act, 30 of who were driving under the influence of alcohol.
