Two international schools in Govandi and Kandivali have received emails threatening to bomb them. The police have taken the incident seriously and have registered cases against unknown persons in three different police stations. The search for the accused in this case is on.
An email was received on Saturday threatening to bomb Ryan International School in Thakur Complex in Kandivali East. In this case, Samata Nagar police have registered a case against an unknown person for creating fear by making threats. It has been found that there is no truth in the threat. The accused had created an email ID named Divij Prabhakar Lakshmi for this purpose.
The police are using technology to track down the person using that email ID. The police suspect that there is a scam behind this case.
After Kandivali, a bomb threat has also been received against Kanakia International School in Govandi by the same person named Divij Prabhakar Lakshmi. Therefore, it is suspected that the same person is involved in both these cases.
A case has been registered at Deonar police station on Sunday, June 15 in this regard. A case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Protection Act for making false threats to create an atmosphere of fear by disturbing public peace. Considering the seriousness of these cases, the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police is also conducting a parallel investigation into the matter.

The American Commercial Consulate in BKC, Mumbai, also received a threatening phone call. An unknown person made a phone call around 8:00 pm on Saturday and threatened to detonate a bomb in the vicinity of the American Consulate, said an official at the BKC police station.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police were alerted and the bomb detection and disposal team immediately reached the spot.
The entire area was searched, but nothing suspicious was found. A case has been registered against unknown persons under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code at the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) police station in this regard. Officials said that a search is on to trace the person who made the call.
