Mumbai’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught Dindoshi police station’s sub-inspector for taking a bribe worth ₹10,000. The ACB department has filed a case against Bipin Balkrishna Chavhan in the bribery case.

What’s the story?

A case was filed against a cloth merchant who had denied to return the money to the complainant who was a supplier. This case was handed over to Chavhan who tried settling the matter with the cloth merchant. He asked the merchant to pay ₹10,000 so that he could settle the case. However, the cloth merchant filed a police complaint with ACB against Chavhan.

After investigating the matter, with the help of eye-witnesses and acting on the proof, the ACB officials arrested Chavhan and filed a complaint on Monday.
