Police constable Vilas Shinde’s demise saddened the Mumbai city. When his family members and people were grieving his death, four other traffic constables were either beaten or injured in one single day. Traffic warden Vishwanath Rane was abused when he tried stopping car near Andheri railway station, while in Colaba, driver hurled abuses at traffic constable Rajendra Pawar. This happened, when he asked the driver about car’s black tainted glasses. Furthermore, bike rider injured the police constable Mahadev Kumbhar at Dockyard road. And auto driver Imtiyaz Khan knocked the traffic constable Devidas Nimbalkar in Kurla and ran away. But, luckily, constable managed to get hold of him. These very constables who man the traffic day & night, themselves are now unsafe in city.
